ITINERARY OF-7 DAYS TOURS FROM TANGIER

On day one of your vacation, we’ll meet in Tangier and travel together via the Rif Mountains and the city of Tetouan, taking in stunning vistas of the area until we reach Chefchaouen, one of the most remarkable settlements at the foot of the mountains. Following seeing the remains, we’ll go to the adjacent city of Meknes, where we’ll have lunch, walk along the Medina wall, admire Bab El Mansour, and pay our respects at Moulay Ismail’s refuge. We’ll skip through the city of Fez and go straight to the city of Meknes, where you’ll spend the night in a Riad after seeing the sights there.

The streets and alleyways of Morocco’s oldest city will become familiar after a hearty breakfast at your riad. The initial stops on our tour take us to the Royal Palace, the Bab Bou Jeloud Gate, and the Jewish district, site of the first Mellah ever constructed in Morocco, in the 16th century. We will take you to see the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mulay Idriss Mausoleum, as well as the oldest university in Africa, Al Qaraouine. The trip to Merzouga will begin after breakfast at your accommodation. After being greeted with a customary glass of mint tea in Merzouga, you’ll be taken on a camel ride to a tent camp in the center of the Erg Chebbi desert, where you may spend the night listening to the sounds of the dunes and the Berber drums.

In the morning, we’ll ride camels out to the Desert to see the dawn, then we’ll stroll back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. After there, we’ll go via the Saghro Mountains toward Tinghir. We’ll take a little stroll through the Todra Gorges on our way to the Dades Valley, where we’ll spend the night and eat.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will travel through the Dades Valley towards the Kelaa Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The tour of the Dades Valley is the path of the thousand kasbahs that provides numerous opportunities to take some of the best photographic shots of the trip as well as the adjoining Valley of Roses. We will continue to the city of Ouarzazate, famous for film studios. On the way to Marrakech, you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chiefs during the beginning of the 20th century, which used to be one of its stops during its long journey from the Sahara to Marrakech, now it is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
